“What is Working Memory and How Does Using Cogmed to Train ADHD Working Memory Help ADHD College Students and Professionals and Healthcare Workers?”
Introduction: Working memory is a crucial cognitive function that allows us to hold and manipulate information over short periods. For individuals with ADHD, working memory can be significantly impaired, affecting their academic, professional, and personal lives. This blog explores what working memory is and how Cogmed can help train and improve it for those with ADHD.
What is Working Memory? Working memory refers to the brain’s ability to store and manage information temporarily. It is essential for problem-solving, following instructions, and learning new information.
Impact of ADHD on Working Memory: ADHD can disrupt working memory, making it challenging for individuals to stay organized, complete tasks, and retain information. For college students, this can mean difficulty in studying and taking exams. Professionals may find it hard to manage projects, and healthcare workers might struggle with patient care and documentation.
Introduction to Cogmed: Cogmed is a cognitive training program specifically designed to improve working memory through structured exercises. It is backed by research and effectively enhances working memory in individuals with ADHD.
Benefits of Using Cogmed for ADHD:
- College Students: Improved focus, better academic performance, enhanced ability to follow lectures and complete assignments.
- Professionals: Increased productivity, better task management, improved ability to handle complex projects.
- Healthcare Workers: Enhanced patient care, reduced errors, better documentation, and communication skills.
Conclusion: Working memory plays a vital role in our daily lives, and for those with ADHD, strengthening this cognitive function can lead to significant improvements. Cogmed offers a promising solution for college students, professionals, and healthcare workers looking to enhance their working memory and overall performance.

Testimonial on Career Assessment:
“The career assessment was surprisingly accurate and very eye opening. Half of the results I kind of expected due to my understanding of my skills and interest. However, the other half of the results was shocking as I never realized it lined up with my skills and interest. The assessment is proven to be very helpful as I try to navigate pursuing a new career. I highly recommend for others to take the assessment as it will lift a fog in the thought process and help you navigate yourself onto the right path” J. M. San Jose, CA
