Therapy and Coaching for Professionals
"If you need a licensed psychologist to help you get through a rough patch, I would recommend Dr. Krysti to anyone that I know. Dr. Krysti is very understanding but will help you push your limits to create the change you want in your life. She understands both Eastern and Western cultures very well and helps you to unstuck on matters that are important to you. She is also a board-certified executive business coach. I have had the fortune of finding her and she was tremendous in helping me with my divorce to heal and become more clear in my vision and goals both personally and professionally. I could not have done this transformation without her and she has helped me deal with my issues at hand." V.T. Pacific Regional Director of a 500 Fortune Company

What Are The Differences Among These Professionals (Psychologists, Therapists, and Psychiatrists)?
There are many differences amonng these three professionals. Here are some differences: 1. Licensed Psychologists: Have a doctoral degree (Ph. D. or Psy. D.) completed thousands of hours for their practicum/training, passed exams to get licensed as a "Licensed Psychologist" and can provide therapy as well as diagnosis and evaluation on many complicated psychological disorders. Most don't prescribe medications. Only a couple of states have psychologists who could prescribe medications with training. 2. Therapists (LPCC--licensed professional clinical counselor, LPC--licensed professional counselor, LCSW--licensed clinical social worker, LMFT--licensed marriage and family therapist). Most hold a master degree, a few hold Ph. D. or Psy. D., completed their training and passed their exams to be therapists, it is against the law if they call themselves as licensed psychologists if they are not licensed as "licensed psychologist". They can provide therapy; however, many cannot diagnosis or give evaluation on complicated psychological disorders. They would need to refer their clients/patients to psychologists or psychiatrists for cases they don't have competencies. 3. Psychiatrists: All hold a M.D. degree and can prescribe medications that are related to psychological disorders. .
